Android Tablet can't keep up with the competition...In the US

In recent news Dell has abandoned its production and distribution of its new Android tablet in the US. Mainly due to the fact this good piece of technology just can't keep up with its competition the Apple's Ipad and Amazon's Kindle. With the Kindle being a new and affordable style of Ipad . On the day following black friday reported The Kindle being Amazon's best selling item on black friday. We all know of the success of the Ipad which is everywhere across the glode. With Apple being the first to introduce the concept. Dell I believe made the right decision, to not jump into this running. New and innovative technology will only be recognized by consumer through its innovator. You connect the Ipad with Apple and the Imac,Iphone etc. You connect the Kindle with Amazon and you connect Dell's tablet with ....... exactly, smart move by its corporation.

Noone's tieing the knot anymore...

What ever happened to the sweet old days? When you met a pretty gal and introduced yourself to her. Everytime you two hung out together you took her on a nice date or brought her around your crew. Experiences together through good and bad times resulted in you two falling in love and eventually tieing the knot. Well what put a limp on the days of Real Love and Marriage I would say can only be blamed on Technology. Those days of meeting have turned into viewing someone on there web page. Those days of talking on the phone all night about any and everything have been replaced with texting throughout the day. The days of hanging out have been replaced with webcams. Which ultimatly results in more hooking up rather than getting to really know someone and people falling in love. Marriage is at a all time low with new marriages dropping down 5% in the past year of 2009-2010. You can only imagine what that number will be this year. In the 1960's 72% of all adults age 18 and up were married. The good old days where everyone wanted to build a family and give there offspring the opportunities they didnt have. Today that percentage is at 51% and dropping. The average age of first married people have increased to 26 years old and 28 for men and women. Where are in a decade where every guy wants to be a player and every woman wants to think like a man. At this rate to tie the knot wouldnt be so common as it was in past years.

Friend+Followers=Votes ..Obama's formula for success

No Presidential candidate by far has ever take advantage of a common resource more the now President Obama. He took a social networking site and turn his campaign team into a train that could not be stopped. First establishing a presence throughout the states. He then got his word out to everyone throughout the Unites States of American via...Facebook,Twitter & other social networking sites and the message was very clear. Change & Progress, Obama stole the hearts of many voters that year. But his presence on the Internet was his best strength . Never before have I been into a Presidental Election the way I was so focused into this one. If you missed a speech, replays of the speeches were all over Youtube. President Obama also had a website which kept you posted on all activities and speeches that were approaching. It was like a show that everyone kept up with. Manly because Obama was in the position of possibly becoming the first black president which he did achieve.

People of color have a growing presence online..

In recent years the Pew Internet research group has done numerous studies into the presence of black people online. In the early years of 2000, the Internet and broadband were manly used by white people and at that time. To think of the internet you think of a computer. Computers were very expensive at one point and over the years to improve income. The Computer & laptop manufacturers began to lower prices and give out deals. So that more people could afford this new & better technology. Thats what i feel as though began this improvement of the black presence online. People that only could accord that technology had it. When i was younger, my way of using the computer was going to the Library. I know alot of other black people did the same as well and spanish. But White people went out and bought computers I think. Now today I not only have a computer at home. I also have a laptop. They've become more affordable which explains the increase of the black and spanish presence online from 11% to 21% and still continuing to increase.

Sticks & Stones will hurt my bones but cyberbullying can never hurt me....Not!

In this day & age there isn't anymore kids hanging out outside. Boys chilling on the porch or girls in the house all together talking about boys etc. We are in a age where everything done in real life. We do online in some type of way or form. Instead of calling someone, you can Skype them & talk to them. Instead of having a conversation with someone, you can comment on status update & pictures via Facebook or other social networking websites. Everyone is easier to get in touch with and contacted. But with the good, always comes the bad. Now bullying has came from the school to the playground, the the neighborhood. Now on the Internet,we call this Cyber Bullying. Kids talk about other kids, grown ups as well. Say you see a kid that isnt as cool as everyone or doesnt dress up to Par. People take unknowing pictures of the person post it on a social media site and the bullying begins. 100 of friends ,100 of followers on twitter, see the picture and people comment, crack jokes on the person with no remorse because they prob. dont know the person , or do know the person and just want to dish out there own jokes. Its humor to them but the kid in the pic. Comes across it one day and see's all the mean things said about them and the way that there dressed. It can really hurt someone on the receiving end. #StoptheBullying

Swat Team of the Music Industry - RIAA

So you haven't heard of "RIAA" before? Well don't make it be too late that you learn about RIAA "Recording Industry Association of America. Just when you thought you were getting away with downloading for free. There's a Internet Music Industry swat team just waiting for you to share there music so that they can pretty much sue you for every penny you have. Don't believe me? ask Joel Tenenbaum, of Providence, R.I., was sued by the Recording Industry Association of America, representing four major record labels, for illegally sharing music on social networks.

Is a couple songs worth "$675,000". A penalty like that will def make you want to buy all of your music on Itunes the right way. Because through the illegal downloading alot of money and profits are missed out. So this is the music industry's way of making people pay. A song gets leaked and shared, thats a few people that didnt buy a $13 CD. But the RIAA catches one of them & a lawsuit which carries a weight of $675,000. I think they've doubled profits by alot. So next time before you think of downloading & sharing illegal music. Have the RIAA in the back of your mind, because they will eventually get you.

Can the Gov. Control the Net?

In Obama's voice"Yes they can!" A so called Kill Switch was approved by the Senates Homeland Security and Governmental affairs committee back in December but expired once the new congress took office. Republican Senator Susan Collins won't let the bill die. She is pushing for the bill to pass which will give the president power to just about shut down the Internet. Well most importantly keep hackers, spies away from "Critical Infrastructure" . We downplay really how powerful the Internet really is & how far it has come. In the wrong hands someone can do allot of damage through the Internet. Gain access to governmental secrets, access bank accounts. It is the year 2011 everything is online now a days. I see our government beginning to embrace how powerful the Internet has really become. So I'm all for the bill, too much can be controlled via the Internet. Its time we put some security on it to make sure our country is safe. Alot of my information was obtained through a website Switched.com in a article by Amar Toor "The Internet 'Kill Switch' Bill: What It Is, and Why It Won't Die"

Who Runs the Internet....Men! not for long....

Research done by the Pew Research Center & The Tech Deck have come to one conclusion. Men own the title as far as being more advanced in the realm of technology. The male species is more likely to use the internet at some point during there day. Whether it be social networking or business related men are using the internet for something. Women although behind are catching up. When you think about a women on the internet only two things come to mind"Shopping & Health". When you think about a male online many things come to mind. Possibly checking his facebook, or looking into sports or working one somethings business related. From studies men are more likely to embrace a new form of technology before women. We find out about it newer ,faster ways to do things and we are willing to try it out. There are 95.9 million men online (48.2%) and 103.2 million women online (51.8%). according to EMarketer though men go online more often. Make use of the technology more than women will. But at this day & age women are getting better more aware of different things if not before men at the same time. Who know's what results will conclude in the next 10 years f this study is done again. I personally think women will thrive as the years go by women are getting stronger and stronger there are more women watching sports,in the gym getting fit, learning about newer technologies than ever before you know it the playing field will be even.

Bridging vs Bonding

Bridging is a network or shall I say social network which brings people together for Peer-Bonding & family bonding, Bonding sites are where people converse or associate on a stronger level sites people go to to find people with the same thoughts they have or point of views or religion. Examples of these two are as follows:

"KKK.com"(Bonding) A site where people share the same point of view about race.

“Facebook.com”(Bridging) which targets people through their school experiences putting networks together so that people can connect with old friends & friends they’ve met through work related experiences or teammates. Today the site is growing bring not only friends together but families also.

"NFL.com" (Bonding) A Sports site where people into football ,talk just that..Football and about the different teams and how the season is going for there respective teams.

“MySpace.com”(Bridging) a earlier form of facebook that people will arguably say fell off a bit. On this site rather than facebook you actually had privacy. Your news feed didn’t show everyone you spoke to or every picture you posted but Music artist thrived off of this site because people were able to post songs onto their pages and share music on their profiles. This helped get a lot of music around. Artist from all over the world owned a music page on “MySpace’.

"???.EDU"(Bonding) Popular in todays society schools have website where there students can interact and talk about on campus issues or events. they all share a common interest the school.

“Familytree.com”(Bridging) brings families together which helps people locate family members on their family tree. Maybe you have cousins that are looking for you signing on to a sight like this will help you find others that are you seeking you.

"Pot-heads.com"(Bonding) brings together pot-heads to speak or there different point of views on the different types.

“Classmates.com”(Bridging) helps people find old classmates through their school year locating there grad. Class and others that are members of the site.

"Mylifeline.com"(bonding) A site where people who've survived life changing ordeals share there stories with each other.

"Twitter.com" (Bridging) on this site people take topics and share their thoughts with each other on the given topic they communicate and find new friends. It’s like one big conversation.

USA "Land of the free, Phones are your Slaves"

A recent study in the Pew Research Center's Internet & American Life Project found that Americans depend heavily on there Cellphones/Mobile devices. To get things done throughout the day. Whether its accessing information, getting in contact with someone,or even entertaining yourself in boredom. Mobile phones have become a part of everyday life. One Third of Americans own a smart phone. (70%) of 18-29 year old cell phone owners use theres for entertainment when there bored. When (42%) of older adults (30+) use them when bored. (64%) of young adults use there phones when they want to find information. When (51%) of older adults use it in this situation. As you can clearly see, the younger generation is more hip to the new trend of life. Pretty much using your Smart-Phone or Cellphone to get w.e needs to get done..Done! Its growing on the Older adults. Ever watch your parents use a cellphone & it looks like there taking forever just to send a text? Its something that’s going to take some getting use to. Being that when they were my age(21) they didn’t have these mobile devices. Only way you were getting in contact with someone was via house phone.

_How I Feel on the Matter_

As the world evolves we are evolving with it. Its very convincing that technology is taking over as the years go by. There will soon be no need for books,Libraries. Alot of places, things used in earliar centuries will be wiped away by these new innovative ways of doing things. We now look to our cellphones for knowledge when people use to have to read books to figure things out. We have our cellphones to get in touch with anyone at anytime just about.
