Who Runs the Internet....Men! not for long....

Research done by the Pew Research Center & The Tech Deck have come to one conclusion. Men own the title as far as being more advanced in the realm of technology. The male species is more likely to use the internet at some point during there day. Whether it be social networking or business related men are using the internet for something. Women although behind are catching up. When you think about a women on the internet only two things come to mind"Shopping & Health". When you think about a male online many things come to mind. Possibly checking his facebook, or looking into sports or working one somethings business related. From studies men are more likely to embrace a new form of technology before women. We find out about it newer ,faster ways to do things and we are willing to try it out. There are 95.9 million men online (48.2%) and 103.2 million women online (51.8%). according to EMarketer though men go online more often. Make use of the technology more than women will. But at this day & age women are getting better more aware of different things if not before men at the same time. Who know's what results will conclude in the next 10 years f this study is done again. I personally think women will thrive as the years go by women are getting stronger and stronger there are more women watching sports,in the gym getting fit, learning about newer technologies than ever before you know it the playing field will be even.

Bridging vs Bonding

Bridging is a network or shall I say social network which brings people together for Peer-Bonding & family bonding, Bonding sites are where people converse or associate on a stronger level sites people go to to find people with the same thoughts they have or point of views or religion. Examples of these two are as follows:

"KKK.com"(Bonding) A site where people share the same point of view about race.

“Facebook.com”(Bridging) which targets people through their school experiences putting networks together so that people can connect with old friends & friends they’ve met through work related experiences or teammates. Today the site is growing bring not only friends together but families also.

"NFL.com" (Bonding) A Sports site where people into football ,talk just that..Football and about the different teams and how the season is going for there respective teams.

“MySpace.com”(Bridging) a earlier form of facebook that people will arguably say fell off a bit. On this site rather than facebook you actually had privacy. Your news feed didn’t show everyone you spoke to or every picture you posted but Music artist thrived off of this site because people were able to post songs onto their pages and share music on their profiles. This helped get a lot of music around. Artist from all over the world owned a music page on “MySpace’.

"???.EDU"(Bonding) Popular in todays society schools have website where there students can interact and talk about on campus issues or events. they all share a common interest the school.

“Familytree.com”(Bridging) brings families together which helps people locate family members on their family tree. Maybe you have cousins that are looking for you signing on to a sight like this will help you find others that are you seeking you.

"Pot-heads.com"(Bonding) brings together pot-heads to speak or there different point of views on the different types.

“Classmates.com”(Bridging) helps people find old classmates through their school year locating there grad. Class and others that are members of the site.

"Mylifeline.com"(bonding) A site where people who've survived life changing ordeals share there stories with each other.

"Twitter.com" (Bridging) on this site people take topics and share their thoughts with each other on the given topic they communicate and find new friends. It’s like one big conversation.

USA "Land of the free, Phones are your Slaves"

A recent study in the Pew Research Center's Internet & American Life Project found that Americans depend heavily on there Cellphones/Mobile devices. To get things done throughout the day. Whether its accessing information, getting in contact with someone,or even entertaining yourself in boredom. Mobile phones have become a part of everyday life. One Third of Americans own a smart phone. (70%) of 18-29 year old cell phone owners use theres for entertainment when there bored. When (42%) of older adults (30+) use them when bored. (64%) of young adults use there phones when they want to find information. When (51%) of older adults use it in this situation. As you can clearly see, the younger generation is more hip to the new trend of life. Pretty much using your Smart-Phone or Cellphone to get w.e needs to get done..Done! Its growing on the Older adults. Ever watch your parents use a cellphone & it looks like there taking forever just to send a text? Its something that’s going to take some getting use to. Being that when they were my age(21) they didn’t have these mobile devices. Only way you were getting in contact with someone was via house phone.

_How I Feel on the Matter_

As the world evolves we are evolving with it. Its very convincing that technology is taking over as the years go by. There will soon be no need for books,Libraries. Alot of places, things used in earliar centuries will be wiped away by these new innovative ways of doing things. We now look to our cellphones for knowledge when people use to have to read books to figure things out. We have our cellphones to get in touch with anyone at anytime just about.
